In 1996 a miniature wargaming campaign was run which was set in the Shenandoah Valley of 1862 during the American Civil War. This was loosely based on an article by Steve Wilson titled Shenandoah Valley, Virginia, Spring 1862 (Battlefields, Volume 1, Issue 4, April 1996, pg. 32).

The campaign ran for a number of months, and produced three excellent battles. Unfortunately, the campaign died by the end of the year due in a large part to some very poor commanders who caused the other players to become discouraged.

This section presents materials from that campaign. Note that not all of the available information has been put on-line. A new campaign is planned, and the Campaign Master does not want players in that campaign to see some of the information.

Campaign History

The Campaign Master kept a running history and commentary for the duration of the campaign. Also, there was a write-up prepared for each of the three battles fought during the campaign.
